Trevor Morrow, Chief ExecutiveTrevor Morrow picture
Trevor joined Red Kite in November 2011 as Chief Executive, just in time to oversee the final stage of the transfer process.

He is a qualified lawyer, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and was a Board member of Watford Community Housing Trust for 6 years. He has considerable experience of transforming services both at Watford and Luton, with a focus on tenant involvement.

His passion is improving services and empowering tenants and leaseholders to inspire and shape Red Kite as an organisation. One of his best experiences to date was dressing up as the Red Kite Rascal mascot, when he visited two local schools with the Chair, to award prizes for the design of a welcome card for new tenants.

Trevor and his wife have four young children and also regularly have two older children on a respite foster care basis. Providing a broad range of services and making Red Kite part of the community, is really important to him.

 Neil Venables, Resources Director
Neil joined the team on 1st September 2011 and looks after the corporate side of the business including HR, Finance, Tenant and Leaseholder Partnerships and IT. He is also company secretary. Neil read Economics at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge and then trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Neil VenablesErnst & Young. After spending time in the training department, Neil decided auditing was not for him so took a different career path working across the North and Midlands visiting housing schemes run by Stonham Housing.

And once in housing you are hooked! 22 years later, Neil is still passionate about providing excellent housing services. In this time he has worked at Stonham, The Housing Corporation, Unity HA (inner city BME association in Leeds), Dales Housing (the rural stock transfer in the Derbyshire Dales), Three Valleys Housing and Eden Housing (Cumbria). He has also spent 11 years as a Board Member of a housing association.

Neil has been a director for the past 12 years. Whilst mostly as Director of Resources, he has also been Director of Customer Services. He is currently studying for an MBA through Derby University.

Alan Keers, Director of OperationsAlan Keers
Alan joined Red Kite on the day of transfer and now leads the operations team, bringing with him more than 25 years experience within the housing sector, working in a variety of roles in both client and commercial sectors. He is a qualified surveyor, engineer and property consultant,  and has established a reputation within the industry for leading top performing teams.

His experience of delivering partnering contracts, as well as in-house services within the social housing sector has given him a unique perspective on performance and efficiency and allows him to use his expertise in successfully delivering and managing change. During his time in the industry, he has been instrumental in the drive towards developing apprentice schemes and improving skills. He has provided technical training and advice for an international disaster agency and has often been seen speaking at both national conferences and expert seminars for some of the industry’s most recognisable bodies.

The operations team covers repairs, improvements, development, tenancy management, anti-social behavior, supported housing and customer services, and Alan sees the delivery of promises to tenants and leaseholders as one of his biggest challenges to date, making sure that we provide excellent services that offer value for money..
